Beatriz Lourenço

Beatriz joined B12 Consulting at the end of September 2024 as an AI Developer.

She began her academic journey at the Faculty of Science of the University of Lisbon, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. It was there that she developed a keen interest in data science, which she pursued further with a Master’s degree in Engineering and Data Science from Instituto Superior Técnico, also in Lisbon. Her Master’s thesis focused on applying deep learning and explainable AI (XAI) for mortality rate forecasting. After her studies, Beatriz worked as a Postgraduate Researcher in the Laboratory of Intelligent Systems at IST, where she specialized in time series forecasting using deep learning.

Beatriz’s expertise lies in the fields of deep learning and time series forecasting. She has a collaborative approach to work and thrives on exchanging ideas with her colleagues. She enjoys keeping up with the latest developments in data science. 

In her free time, Beatriz enjoys reading and spending time with friends.
