Laurence Pirenne

Laurence joined B12 Consulting in February 2025 as a Business Analyst.

She holds a Master’s degree in Biochemistry & Molecular and Cellular Biology from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and an MPhil in Genetics from the University of Cambridge. She later pursued a PhD at the University of Zurich, where she conducted research in developmental biology. Throughout her academic career, she worked on projects at the intersection of genetics, molecular biology, and data analysis, sharpening her analytical and problem-solving skills.

Eager to apply her expertise beyond academia, Laurence transitioned into data science and AI consulting. At B12, she plays a key role in analyzing client needs and translating them into functional specifications, ensuring that applications align with expectations while fully leveraging AI capabilities. She is particularly interested in harnessing AI to address real-world challenges in healthcare, biotech, and beyond. Passionate about data-driven problem-solving, she enjoys working with Python for data analysis and continues to expand her knowledge in machine learning.

Outside of work, Laurence enjoys hiking in the mountains, dancing to her favorite music, and experimenting with new recipes while catching up with friends.
